headlight conversion????

Post by natural born honda killer »

im thinking of doing a front end conversion with a 2002 celica. that would be the hood, lights, fenders and of course an aftermarket bumper. what do you guys think??? im sure this will def get mixed reviews but i was just wondering what you guys thought about it.

Anything is possible, not sure how that would look though.
Someone has already done a Civic conversion another guy did an Honda Accord conversion.
Both of those conversions were done well and they definately change the look of your car, personally I really like the MX-3 headlights so I don't think I would do something like that but I do give credit to people who try something different.

I personally think a Celica front end would look nasty on a MX. The MX is too round and bubbly while the Celica is real angular....It wouldnt match well imo.

Only cuz you asked for opinions. I personally hate the entire look of the new Celica, but the thing I think looks the worst is the front end and headlights. I know I am in the minority with that thought but it is my personal opinion. I don't think it would look good at all. I love the way the MX-3 looks. Sorry bro

I always wanted to find some really clear headlight lenses for my MX-3. Mostly all new cars have those really nice clear lights and you can see all the mirror surfaces inside. Stock MX-3s have that damn textured and lined lense. I wonder if it's possible to buff out the lines of if someone can recreate the lense without the lines.
-James

If we have altezza tail lights for our vehicles we should be able to get projector or clear head lights. :D

All those lines are used to focus the light on to the road in a certian pattern so that you dont blind people and so that the lights actually light up the road.
new cars have the textured lines on the back of the housing in the reflective surface, so the lenses are clear.

you have to have one or the other so that the light goes where its supposed to.

well im not offended by any comments cause i did ask for them. im serious look at a celica and im sure youll see what i saw. the celica loks a lot like the same body panels as the mx in the front. so i figure that i can get all th eparts for cheap and just putting the panels on and modifying it to work perfect. i think itd look really good. and im talking about it looking like it came from the factory like that. so itll be smooth lines and all. but thats what im going to do but i just wanted some feedback and keep it coming, i dont mind :) :D
