removing the fabric and painting door panels?

anyone think its possible to just prime the fiberglass backing of the door panels and painting them, after removing the fabric?<P>thanks

if you remove the fabric and the glue the back of it looks just like other hard black dash panels the center console for example It kinda has grains in it you know what I mean

I was planning on ripping the fabric off then fiberglassing the inside to make it smoothe then painting it. Its risky but it should look nice.

fiberglassing?<P><BR>you don't think just using primer will smoothen the surface?<P><BR>im gona do it this week. i'll post some pics if it turns out ok
