help!!!! cutting auto

hey every one my girlfriend just got a 95 mx-3 gs the only problem with it is it's auto and if you've seen an auto mx-3 you'll notice that the stock shifter is tall really tall. so heres where i need some help<BR>i was wondering if it was possable to cut it down a bit and how hard is to install an aftermarket auto shift knob <BR> thank you <BR> mike [img]shrug.gif"%20border="0[/img]
