where can i find a functional roof scoop or how do i go about making one? any kits out there?

i like to use it as intake, keep in mind i have a 1.6l soi cant ditch the mass air flow sensor.

oh by the way...what other functions can you use them for? oil cooler? im kinda new to roof scoops so im kinda lost. [img]shrug.gif"%20border="0[/img]

i was just checking to see if you knew if you were doin ;)<P>there's no way that a roof scoop would be more functional than a hood scoop in your case. I dont know of any company that makes a roof scoop for our cars.

looks like scoopn is for the hood for us then, just thought maybe i could find somethin new to try, after posting this i was in the car and thought to myself damn id have to gut the interior to run the piping, the only possible way i could see it done ould be to run the piping down the side right behind the driver seat then up under it and out through the firewall to under the hood. how is it actually done if it has been done on a car thats not mid engine???

umm, cars with a front mounted engine don't use roof scoops. the rally cars you have probably seen them on use them to vent the cabin in lieu of air conditioning (i believe). the air would never make it to the engine if you tried to pipe it from the roof! :roll:

thanks for the info guys but the car got smashed into today so i think it will be going to the junkyard. i will be posting anything i have when i find out.
