Front license plate and grill

Post by canadian_ice »

Hey,
2 questions for all of you:
1 - How do you get to the back of the license plate frame? Mine's crap so I want to take it off but I don't know where to look for the washers behind it.
2 - How do you paint the front grill? Like, just alot of masking tape around it and then brush on the colour? Is it just a regular paint job?
Thanks! (#1 is what I really wanted to know) :D

there isnt a washer behind the screw in mine so i dont know about that, but if your'e going to paint the grille, i would strongly suggest you remove it from the car. Primer it for better results. Its quite easy to get off, open your hood and you'll see the clips you need to press to pull it off

My license plate is really bad... When I bought the car, the bolts that hold the plate on seized to the bracket on the other side of the bumper. When I tried getting the bolts out, the bracket snaped, and now turns with the bolt. I think that I am just going to wait until the spring and take the bumper off. Nobody has complained yet about missing my front plate, so hopefully they won't say anything until I get it back on.

are you just driving around with two holes open. If so, just run some hoses to them and call it your ram air invention :)

Is there supposed to be a bracket on the front, or does the license plate bolt right up against the bumper? I have the bolts in the bumper still.
