RX7 - MX3 hatch

Post by Jayrykes84 »

How hard would it be to fit an RX-7 hatch onto an MX-3<BR>I have seen pictures of RX-7's with MX-3 hatches, is it possible to do vice versa?

I asked the same question about a month ago, the answer was that the RX-7 hatch was much wider and longer and the switch wasn't possible. I'm looking to change the hatch design too, and make the car a little different from all the others out there. Let me know if you hear anything else

well what the heck... that MX-3 hatch looks stock to me... how much wider is the RX-7 hatch? I love my precidia but sometimes I get bored with that horizontal rear window.... what if you took the window out and replaced it with something like Lexan (plexiglass). Technically you could make a shorter rear window with that material.... but you'd be left with 6 or more inches at the back where you would have an open hole... I dont know how you would get around that... maybe make some sort of fibreglass end?

I altered some pics to suit what I want. I'm going to check with some body shops and see how much it would cost to do.
