Fixing Front Bumper?

Post by canadian_ice »

Hey guys/girls,
The air damn on my front bumper (I think thats what it is) is just trash - the vertical pieces holding the middle piece to the top have come off (do you know what I mean?) and the whole thing needs repainting.
Is this easy to fix? I need some help. OR should I just order a new front bumper?
Help! :)
Thanks everyone.
P.S. If needed, I could get a few pictures but it would take a day or so.

Probally best to get a new one or professionally fixed, but you can buy some stuff to put it back together for now. There are fibreglass patches, if you need one. And also you can buy stuff to bond broken pieces of fibreglass back together. If you want the brand names of this stuff let me know and I will get back to ya with it.

another suggestion for you:
try just cutting out the whole "inside" part of the air dam and get a mesh grill. i've seen a couple of pics and it does look pretty clean.... more of an openmouth look i guess.
dave

How much do you think it would cost to get fixed?
And if it's not too much trouble, the brand names would be appreciated.
Thanks.
