clamping springs
clamping springs
i was wondering if clamping springs is a safe alternative to buying lowering springs. friends are cutting springs but I don't want to go through the mess they cause. but anyway i heard a place around here will clamp ur springs for like $30. could drop car about 2". i was wondering if this is safe cause i know it has to be better than cutting springs..<P>trying to get my car lookin sweet before Hot Import Nights comes to New Orleans

Re: clamping springs
clamp your springs and die!~ just save up the 300 and get apex springs!!! clamping can cause your spring to snap!!!!! NOT GOOD!

Re: clamping springs
yea i've heard very bad things about clamping them, either buy new springs or LIVE with the ones you got.

Re: clamping springs
i don't know what they look like and i haven't really heard any horror stories. a friend just told me the other day about it and i was just curious. cause my other stupid friends have cut springs with one dumba$$'s tires leaning in and ruining both front tires.
