primer

Post by marshmallow15 »

i jus had a question...before painting the interior, it's suggested that you primer and clean with an alcohol compound or something....but what does primering actually do for a preparation? is it really necessary?

I primered my interior pieces because when i just spray painted it.. the paint beeded up and made lumps. The primer did amost the same thing but primer can be sanded. So i sanded the bumps off the primer then sprayed again. The paint holds better on the primer than just the surface itself. Primer your pieces first it makes things alot easier.<P>-eD

ahh i c....but i've seen a spray on primer....so if i use primer and sand it...won't the sanding make the surface of my interior panels all scratchy and uncomfortable?
