How many people have tried this?

Post by jrich »

Today I stripped the console, air conditioning panels, speaker cover, door handles, basically everything you can detach, I sanded down each piece, went down to the local orchard supply and bought 2 metalic silver spray cans and 1 can of high gloss clear coat, I must say the turnout is awesome, great look, was wondering how many of you have done this and what colors you did?

I painted the air vents, speaker covers, ashtray flippy thing and the boarder piece around my cd deck. I didn't even sand it, just washed it good and painted away. Just make sure you do a few thin coats, not one thick one.

I went to a local body shop and bught a quart of rasberry metalic, (my cars original color), some primer, some clearcoat, and 2 quarts of thinner. I painted all of the normal parts and they came out awesome. It looks so much better than just the regular purple spray paint that was on there. It is pretty expensive but I think it was worth it.
Billy
93 GS SE :D

Damn bro, I spent 24$ us for 2 cans of silver metalic and 1 clear coat, and that got everything, still have paint left over. How much did yours cost?
