KLZE $1000cnd good price?

Post by LiquidKarma »

ok i have talked to a conpany in toronto, and they can get me a KLZE for $1000cnd, if i want a tranny its another $600cnd for a 5-speed...

It dose not come with the ecu but would this still be a good price...

I know i don't need the tranny...

Just wanted to know if other places sell them(tranny and/or ecu) with the engine?

where dose everyone else get there engines?

where is a good place to get an ecu?

Hey liquidkarma, chances are the transmissions that come with those engines are auto so thats no good to you . There is a lot of cases on this site where people bought cheap engines and ended up with a POS. You usually get what you pay for with these things.

most KLZE's come with an automatic transmission anyways. Not a big deal, 5 minutes and its off.

You can look all you want and you won't be able to get one. You got 2 choices:
1) Convert your car to obd-1 and use a kl31 or kl36 ecu
2) Just use a vaf from a klde and you will run nice

go to www.jdmsource.ca they have the engine, ecu, wiring harnesses and tranny which when i last talked to them they had 5 speeds. there selling them shipped for 1200-1300 cant quite remember but i have heard good things about this place and the engines even though u may need to get it shipped to you are usually in really good shape with like no km's on them. any ways good luck with ur search. hope this helps a bit! and i saw someone who put corksport down i know a guy who got screwed over on his engine from there soo ur choice!!! good luck

If you are going to hand pick your own engine. Which is a great idea, and not many people get to have that chance. Make sure you print off some pictures of an actually KL-ZE and bring it with you just to be sure. And know CurtKLZE has a site with some nice pictures that would be a good idea to use.
