Just wondering, do the KLZE/DE's actually take more quarts of oil as compared to the K8?

K8 and KL are the same - 4.2 US quarts (4.0 litres), including filter change.

Same. Though 4.2 qts sounds low. I swore it was higher. Anyways, I put a full 5 qts in with my ZR1 oil filter, and the dip stick is still within spec.

Don't use Fram. They are cheap. The WalMart brand filters test better than Fram. Anyways, look up the 1992 Corvette ZR-1 --- not the regular Corvette, the ZR1.

I stopped using the ZR1 filter after the gasket leaked. It doesn't contact 100%. I found that the Ford Festiva filter (mazda engine used in those things) which is the same as basically ALL honda D & B-series engined cars is larger & has the proper gasket for our engine.

If you really want to use the ZR1, look up "32-valve corvette". i found they are usulaly listed as 32-valve instead of ZR1 in most of those filter books.
