Emissions test failure

Post by POSMX3 »

First the specs, I have a 94 MX3 GS w/ the 1.8 V6
As some of you will know we have to do the drive clean every 2 yrs in Ontario. At speed my car passed with flying colours but I run into problems at idle speeds. My idle speed for the test was 880RPM, I believe that is too high and it should be about 650RPM.
The question I have is how can I easily slow the idle speed down.
The second thing I would like to know is where do I find the EGR sensor and how do I tell if it(they) are screwed?

Any help would be much appreciated

Look in the online shop manual for the location of the idle adjustment screw, location of the EGR sensor, and search on here for how to pull engine codes.
