Floatting Gas Gage

My Gas Gage Needle is Floating Really bad like it goes up and down a 1/4 tank sometimes is there a way to fix this?

Has this just happened recently?<p>Like, it's gotten worse than it was before?<p>Because, the gas gauge on our cars aren't exactly accurate, except for telling you when you need to fill up.<p>Other than that, you should expect some movement with the gas needle when you go make the gas slosh around in the tank.<p>~A

when I got the car it Floatted a little bit but it seems since I put the New o2 sensor in its gotten alot worse

Yeah my car does this too. The light will come on anywhere from 1/6th of a tank left to E but I'm not sure wheather to trust the gage or the light. I would have thought they were connected but it makes sence to have 2 seperate sensors incase one goes out of wack. There must be some way to re-calibrate the gauge becasue I am sure I saw how to do it for a temp gauge on a 3rd gen rx-7 but I cant find the site.
