Armor-All wheel cleaner or any of the similar products do work pretty well. At least at getting off brake cleaner. If you soak the wheel for about 5 minutes in that stuff, and then spray it off, then go over it with a sponge and soapy water you should have a nice clean wheel.

I switched from Armor All to Eagle One All Wheel Cleaner... and it seems to take a little more off. On the bottle it says that in a test vs. Armor All a good percentage saw a difference... blah blah right? The only reason I bought it was b/c I couldn't find the Armor All wheel Cleaner at my AutoZone.
All I know is it keeps my *cough*stock*cough* wheels clean.

...do not just go out and by any old cleaner for you're wheels just because a company like EagleOne has their name on it!
Motegi Racing Wheels
USE OF PROPER CLEANING AGENTS - Your wheels finish should be treated as you would treat the finish of your car. Most household cleaning agents are too harsh for the finish on your wheels and must be avoided. There are a vast number of commercially available wheel cleaners on the market today, but we urge extreme caution regarding their use, since they tend to be acid or lye based. In most cases a mild detergent mixed with water should be adequate for cleaning your wheel.
[ June 05, 2003: Message edited by: zytariuk ]
