Enjoying life with the MX-3
Enjoying life with the MX-3
(This is a rant
That was it. I'm quite sure that some of you feel the same way and I just wanted to share
Re: Enjoying life with the MX-3
I too enjoy my 30 minute drive to work every morning However, I hate the fact that our car does not have usage cup holders. I usually end up wedging my drink between my e-brake and the passenger seat.

Re: Enjoying life with the MX-3
I love my cars. Every day when I get up and goto work, I look @ my car and smile. Alot of the mxers do their work @ my place cause I have the tools and the garage so I usually have atleast 4 mx-3's in my driveway. Yesterday I had 7, and if I had made some calls I could have had many more (but this wasnt a meet). It just makes my day brighter to sit back and see all these awesome cars parked together and knowing, its cause of this car which I love to drive, brought so many friends together. Not only that is I always look at every mx-3 I see. When I get to work, I look @ my car, when I go and check my mail, I stare at my car. I cant believe mazda gave up producing this cr. You guys as well as I know this isnt a porche, this isnt a Ferarri, but its a great car. I always ask people "Ever owned one?". You'd have to own one to understand...
[ June 02, 2003: Message edited by: Custommx3 ]

Re: Enjoying life with the MX-3
I never thought about it before but my car really has improved things. You are so right. Whenever there is a window near by I always look at my car through it and I LOVE it when I get looks from people when I drive down the street or when someone stops me to ask me about it. Man just the other day I was doing 85 in a 60 and a cop stopped me. When he pulled me over he said that he used to own one just like mine, same color and everything and he was asking me about it.. he didnt even care that I had blue signal lights or tint that could stop a bullet. We were just chatting about the cars and how great they are then he just let me off with it.. what a guy.. mabey they all arent a$$holes afterall.

I realy dont see it as a car but a mechanical exstension of ones body to ensure a vivid adrenaline oriented experience....

Re: Enjoying life with the MX-3
Tehehehehe holy crap I forgot that I do that ALL the time.. I am always checking out the reflection in windows down town and in others peoples paint jobs when I am rolling down the street.. Espically at night with the wheels and the underglow kit.. it looks so.... well.. so ... CUTE! My little mx-3, it is almost like looking at a woman, you just want to smack your car on the *** before you get into it. It is exactily like if you have a hot girlfriend and you know she is hot you just look at her all the time and think "Holy crap, she is with me!"

Re: Enjoying life with the MX-3
I bought my MX-3 just a month ago and love it!I've found myself "checking it out" every time I look out the window or walk towards it in a parking lot. I've had this feeling before though too. My first car was a Ford Probe GT and I always had that same sappy feeling whenever I looked at it. Jeez, almost makes for a cheezy commercial, huh?
Re: Enjoying life with the MX-3

I know how you feel, guys! Same here. I've had it for about two months and a half and I admire its shape all the time. The other day I painted my wipers and the plastic under the windshield. They were faded, but now look black. Small things like that make a difference, (for only $3 and some one hour of fun work).
Definitely, women and cars (woman and car) are the two passions for men ... it works good for men in a way, because I maintain a long-distance relationship. I cannot be with both of them at the same time, which is probably good, because they are not jealous of each other .
Take care of your women/cars, guys!

Yeah I still like my mx even though it sounds like a drive by lawnmower going by (valve tap)..
as for the cup holder (er, metal wire), i've just found cups that fit pretty well in it...small dunkin donuts cups fit well
