what with all these places online selling JDM 1.8 liter engines? um they arent really japenese are they??

why wouldn't they be, there was a K8ZE produced

www.osakajdmmotors.com sells Mazda's K8ZE W/140 HP and slightly more torque than our K8DE.<p>This is due to more agressive Camshafts and better quality fuel in JAPAN.

I wonder what the motivation would be to buy a K8ZE for $900 over a KFZE for $580??? :shrug:

ive found the JDM one for 550 elsewhere...nippon-motors.com and wondered. anyway to tell the differnce?

and if i did get one do you think the american ECU would be fine?

IF you get JDM 1.8 make sure you keep you old exhaust manifold and any othe EGR components which are not part of the JDM. Also, I don't know for sure but I have alot of electrical problems since the swap and I'm not using JDM ECU.
