(ie 10-15 minutes)
also has a bouncing idle at stop lights bounces between 500 rpm to almost 3,000...
was thinking some proble with thermostat but was wondering if some mazada guru could advise.
Her distributor was changed approx 4 months ago.

Re: 92 percedia idle problems
When I had this problem a few weeks back it was down to the throttle body being knackered.

Re: 92 percedia idle problems
Open the hood and look if you see any cracked hoses.
Sounds like a vacuum problem.
If it was the thermostat it will overheat.
After running the engine for a while and stopping at the stop lights it will suck hot air.
Than the idle will flucturate even worse.
I'm almost sure that there is a hole crack somewere or the vac isn't working anymore but if that was the case I think the idle sucks al the time. not only at stop lights.
