Need help.... question about exhaust

Post by Jonathanfil »

I am about to replace my exhaust next week, this will consist of replaceing the cat and piping all the way back to the muffler. Here's the thing, I will be purchasing the KLZE to replace my 1.8 V6 in late March. Now of course I'm planning on forced induction probably by June. Hopefully. Now I know it would be fine to do 2.5" piping on the current 1.8 and the 2.5 KLZE. But when it's turbo charged it would have to be replaced again w/the 3" exhaust. Can I just do the 3" exhaust now instead of the 2.5" even though it is the 1.8 V6 for the time being. So I won't have to change it again in the future. All imput would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you'll just have less backpressure. A lot less, thats gonna be some loud exhaust too.
