Engine light on, but no codes read

OK, this is ridiculous already, my CEL comes on, even after i reset the ECU, but when the garage tries to read the codes NOTHING, i do it manually NOTHING,<BR>does this mean the ECU is busted and i need a new one? what are some signs the ECU is gone? b/c my engine runs totally normal.<BR>help!<BR>dean.zarrillo@mts.net
