rear caliper
I was trying to change my brakes and I can't seem to get the caliper on the rear to compress to put the new pads in. I bought the "special" tool to turn the caliper, it will turn but it just won't go in. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Maybe I'm just an idiot. Please help!

Re: rear caliper
I didn't need a special tool just something to get it to turn. If it's turning (clockwise, right?
) then it's probably moving. It doesn't move a lot with each turn so you have to turn it a lot.<P>One other thought, it might be off the threads. If it isn't moving inward at all, try pushing in a little while turning to thread it back on the screw inside. You might also try pulling the hand brake up to get the screw portion to stick out further so you can thread it easier.

Re: rear caliper
OK, I got it. Forget about that stupid Rubex Cube looking caliper tool. I used a pair of channel locks, and I got it in. Thanks for the help Pelado!
