valve cover oil leak.

Post by 66impala »

wife got car back from dealer and was told that the valve cover gaskets need replacing. this is a v6 and the forward bolts holding valve cover in place are leaking oil around heads. Is this something I can do? Looks like there should be a rubber o-ring under the head of these bolts?

yes, but to do the rear you have to pull off the intake manifold, you can get the gaskets off of www.thepartsbin.com for about $20 each, just read the online shop manual on www.mx-3.com under the k8 engine, the torque specs are in inchpounds not footpounds
