www.sunsengines.com, if you say you are a probetalk member they sell em for $950+shipping, or swapjdm.com sells the engine+tranny+shipping for $1299, streetimports.com sells for $1299+shipping, noyanusa sells em for $1150+shipping, there's tons of places if you have a gs model you have everything you need, you need a curved neck intake manifold, you need to swap the water inlets cause the 92-93 has the fan water sensor in the inlet or tap another one, yet another victim of the not so search button Image
[ September 21, 2002: Message edited by: lazzyie ]

I know about the search engine, however I didn't find alot of people agreeing on ONE place that is VERY good about getting you the right stuff, on time, and good quality. This is what I was really asking.. :p
My thing is I am good at following instructions, but I have never done a import engine swap. The only swap I have done is a 1950 Chevy pickup 216 motor to a 235 motor. I just wanna make sure I get everything I need to do this job all from the same place. My 93 GS is a manual. Will I need the transmission to? I have read alot don't get me wrong but am still alittle confused.. How hard is this to do in you garage at home? From what I read this should just be as easy as unplug and pull and install and replug. Am I missing something here?

Yes, you can do this. It was my first import swap also. Check out the V6 FAQs. Check out the mx-3.com swap pages. Label everything. Take photos. You can use the MX-3 trans and flywheel.
You could have found many questions just like yours by searching. Search for threads with "KLZE" in title. Just kidding. Look for "KLZE install" or "KLZE swap."

I got mine from swapjdm.com, i have had no problems with it thus far, knock on wood, I would have gone with sunsengines.com had i known about them because its a 6 month unlimited mile warranty, its all kinda of hit and miss with the engines, the swap is pretty easy though just time consuming and a lot less room than you would like! good luck!

Did the www.sunsengines.com page change? It will not pull up for me.

Searching on google.com resulted in: http://www.nippon-motors.com/prices.htm http://www.wcperformance.com/jdm_motors.htm

Also, Sean Matthews at www.streetimports.com is one of the old school MX-3 guys. He's done several of these swaps personally, and knows what you need and has great prices. I'd definately order from him if I had to do it over again.

So the sunsengines are not real KLZE's?
I talked to PROTECH again today... They offered to install the KL-03 Engine(KLZE right?) for $2100. This included the engine and all parts needed for the install... I am not sure if they know that the intake won't fit. I read that the Milliena(spelling?) intake will work to fix this though? But will this intake fit under my strut tower bar?
