Mass Air flow sensor

Post by keefus18 »

Is there anyway to bypass or not use that sensor? Do you have to have it so the car will run? I have a 93 MX-3 1.8L and I'm wanting to install an air intake but the mass air flow sensor is in the way. HELP PLEASE!!

If you have a 1.8 V6 than you have a VAF not MAF ;) And no you cannot bypass it.

only way yo bypass is to convert it and change the mapping to accept a MAF sensor, look on Dave Coleman's site there is a good amount of links and info there Image
