Need KL-ZE help fast.....

Post by SmokyMcGee »

I got my car back yesterday.. the thing is so god damn fast, I love it...but.. the common problem..the idle. I read that the ecu is not necessary from a 2.5.. but the airflow meter is. I bought one from a 94 626, I switched it with mine and the car can barely stay on... it actually dies...then pops up with an idle of about 100 then shuts down again. Would the problem be that I need the ecu also or was something supposed to be reseted... or something else.. please help..

I had this problem as well. Run the Mx-3 VAF with the 1.8 ECU. Set the TPS and idle using directions off probetalk. When you get a chance change out the ecu for a KLZE one. Are you running the 1.8 Manifold?

Well all the Vaf sensors are the same. There are alot of things you need to do in order to get the idle right
1. Get the reprogramed ECU from Corksport thrust me it will pay it's self off in gas milage
2. liquid gasket the intake manifold to the heads and the TB to the intake manifold the stuff is only a few buck and it will help seal everything so there are no vac leaks
3. check all your vac lines and also compair then the other vac diagrams on probetalk like the KLZE ones.
4. once the car is some what running (not stalling ) see if going from 1 to N and so on changes the idle or makes it jump around alot if you you need a nutral switch (Like I did :) )

If all else fail Post make to me In the MX-west form Here on MX-3.com and I will try to help you out.
:D
MY ZE is on the Bottle how about yours?
