Wednesday engine vs Friday

Post by Stevekowalchuk »

Just curious who believes in this..... I do. I had a bone stock 91 crx si and i knew of 4 friends who had the exact same cars with similiar mileage and all 4 friends stayed together and by the end i was 2 car lengths ahead EVERY time. I ran 15.94's in a totally stock crx while others ran 16.5's Anyway I thought it was just a fluky thing but now my mx-3 gs 1996 seems to have the same gift. I mean Im not talking about like a MASSIVE difference......just really noticable in comparison. So...who believes in this?

What does aircon do? Ever tried switching it on and watching the rev counter? The power has to come from somewhere...aircon will have quite an effect on performance and mpg

sometimes it has a lot to do with the driver too...how you shift, how you launch..

I think that if this event was recent that A/c had nothing to do with this in any way. Why you ask well he lives in Edmonton and like most people think it is cool here right now so A/c would not be in use unless he likes his car temp really cold. I would look to the driving and maybe even your gas or something to that affect your shifting could be off. Or like in the gas cxase you might have gotten an Esso speacial water blend LoL but yeh ya never know. Peace<P>Mike
