I will have the 1.8BPT this fall and will swap during th winter. But when it comes to the downpipe which size would be better? I am thinking a 3inch but some say 2.5 what is your guys opinion and why? Also what tranny would I need to use? A protege,what car is this engine even from? <BR>Thanks<BR>Jim<BR>93 Bright White RS

If you can fit a 3" d-pipe, go for it. I know on some motors it requires the removal of the a/c. 2.5" will do you well though too. Try and go with a 3" exhaust system as you don't want any restriction. I have a b6t and I am using a 3" dpipe and 3" exhaust system.<P>The motor comes from the Familia GTR, basically a 323 GTR that isn't available in NA. I believe the Protege tranny is what you need for the swap.<P>hope this helps<BR>Chris Malden
