KLZE exhaust???

Post by studman »

I was wondering what size exhaust pipe i should use. Should it be two inch or what. Will a 2 1/2 inch pipe take away from the backpressure of the car. ALso will removing the cat be good for performance. Are there 02 sensors on the car. I have a 1994 mx3?

i have a 2.25'' catback exhaust on my 1.8 v6 and it seems to work wonderfully. I think anything over than 2.5'' on your motor would be overdoing it

Although the KLZE is a high performance engine, it is still only 2.5 liters. 2.25 should be plenty big. Yes, you have O2 sensors, one on each exhaust manifold. Removing the cats is illegal for a street machine and can actually be detrimental to performance.
