hey i own a limited edition mx-3 GS but my '88 civic Dx got a problem with gas, i get only about 200 miles from a tank of gas...i think its fuel injector problem, sometimes when i start it, exhaust fumes smell like gas, and at stop lights idle gets high then drops, any info how i fix that sucker.
thankx

i think you should get your injectors check...that can be a good start!

here's a few things it might be:
1. Water Pump
2. TPS (Throttle position sensor)
3. o2 sensor
4. Air filter
5. Spark plugs/wires

Are you sure the '88 Honda is fuel injected? I think some of those still had carbs in em. If it has a carb, get that checked out too..maybe something is clogged or causing it to run rich

ya mine if PFI programmed fuel injection...it has a newer style motor too..like '95 civics do, maybe previous owner swapped it or something. may it be due to absense of air filter at all..?
