V8 in an MX-3 ????
This question has boggled my mind for quite some time. If you can fit a Ford V8 5.0 litre engine into a Miata... Is it possible to put one into an MX-3 ???
------------------
Edgar Paredes

Re: V8 in an MX-3 ????
hell no what are you thinking.your modifications will tear your frame up. a miata doesnt even have the mass to hold such an engine.you wouldnt need a v8 if you would make that thing a twin turbo. as a mater of fact an rx7 engine would be alot faster than an american v8. try to stay light man.

A V8 was put into a MIATA in South Africa I believe - plus it was running a shot of NOS or 7 - I heard it went like stink - I think it pulled consistent 12's on the 1/4 - but why talk about MX-5's when we can talk about MX-3's ??????

I used to know alot about MX-3's, but not so much anymore. Oh well.

Well, you CAN change the MX-3 over to a RWD, but it's soo much work that it is almost not worth it. After that, the engine should be small enough for the area, but you will probably have to move a lot to the back, or other places. Although, I'm sure someone is going to contradict everything I say anyways, so you might as well just try it.
~A
