tweeters?

Post by mitmaks »

ok ive been listening to some music using headphones and i love way i can hear every bit of it way it was intended, but when i have computer speakers on i cant hear those little extra 'add-ons' and i wanna hear that high quality in my car, so i guess i need some high quality tweeters? which ones to buy, i wanna shop on ebay and get me some good deal and get them installed in my charger so i can listen to my cd's when cruising. thanks for help!

what u want is components then, you can probably find some cheap ones easily enough, they normally come with a crossover that splits the frequency, how's your Charger coming along? sooo jealous!

If you want to go cheap for now, you can get just the tweeters that come with in-line crossovers.

These are the ones I have:

I actually added these as an addition to my component speakers (so I have 4 tweets in the front). But I'm sure they'll add some very nice highs to your stock system anyways.

And of course, with all of the tweets that come with component speakers, you will have to drill holes to mount them. Either simple screw holes (if you want to mount it externally), or larger (maybe 2") holes if you want to mount them flush.

Just replace your stock speakers with 2-ways. I see 6.5 Profiles and Blauphunks on sale for $20 at our local electronics stores.
