Custom Fiberglass Enclosures for hatch
Custom Fiberglass Enclosures for hatch
Ok, something I have considered is making a cusom set of replacement hatch covers made of fiberglass that would also mount in a sealed box design for subs. It would basically be a rear hatch cover that would give the subs 1 cubic foot sealed and look very nice for atleast 2 12" or 10" subs. They would be paintable or vinyl covered. What I am wondering is how much people would be interested in buying them. I will do this for my car but as for others i am not sure. It would leave a decent amount of trunk space so that you can carry a few things and keep a spare in its stock location and such. Let me know if anyone is interested as these would cost no less then $250 each.

Re: Custom Fiberglass Enclosures for hatch
Cool, when I get somw cash in about a month I will start it. Probably do a dual 10's box. I know I can pull off a dual 12's and I can do a quad 12's but to keep the trunk space like I want the selection of 12's for the quad box is small cause it will be hard to get .6sq ft out of it so it would be very limited. I have all kinds of idea's once I get the primary design I will see if I can work a amp rack and xover under the box.

Not a bad idea, but how would you dampen vibration from 2 12in subs?
