Too Much Bass = LOTSA RATTLE

Post by CanadianMx-3 »

Finished my install and it hits so hard it slamms. My only complaint is the car rattles ridiculously. Its at the rear end of the car behind the rear bumper, beneath the tire well outside of the car. It is really bad.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Do I use dynomat spray or the actual sheets?
Im gonna get it professionally done but I need to know what to expect.
thanx guys

It's not your exhaust rattling?

lol i had this problem and it didnt stem from the exhaust, my problem was there were tools stuck in between the bumper and the frame that were rattling. Had to remove the bumper to get em out

mine is a lil' bit different. The inside of my car sounds perfect. However when stepping out of my car I heard a horrid metallic rattle coming from underneath my car. It seems to be coming from behind the bumper and underneath the wheel well. Odd, It really bugs me to the point where I dont even wanna blare my stereo and I just put it in  I wannna show it off FUK MAN

Canadian MX-3 - I have the EXACT same problem! Sweet on the inside, crunchy on the outside. :D It sounds like my bumper is falling off.

nasty rattles seem to be common with these cars and big bass.
when i first put my system in the hatch rattled like crazy.
i had to notch out the latch to pull the hatch down tight enough so it wouldnt rattle.
and if you havent removed the jack from the little compartment in the rear it will make alot of noise.
now ive just got to get rid of all that plastic garbage in the hatch.
time to learn how to fiberglass i guess... I was messing around with the car today and omg!
I fixed the rattling. I removed my cover over my spare tire.
I found : a fork, a cantene, screws, screwdrivers, 12mm wrench, jack pieces out of the case. Also there was no screw to hold the spare tire in place so i used some rags to hold the tire in place.
