Cap Install

Post by -=deathtrap-mx3=- »

My friend and I are gonna install (2) 1 Farad Caps in another guys car tomorrow. The only problem is, I dunno how to setup a cap. I thought i knew how, but I just read that they have to be grounded. If someone could make a labelled diagram for me. i'm confused:
does the incoming power wire(from batt) connect on the same stud as the outgoing power? what's the deal with grounds? do you ground a cap?
----------0 0----------
incoming? outgoing?
------------0 0-------------
in and out? ground?

"Grounding" something is simply attaching a wire from the (-) negative terminal to any bolt attached to the body of the car.
