I want to add an amp for my door speakers, but i want to know if i have to add a capacitator(sp?). I have one amp for my subs already. would a power ditributor be a good idea> i have foglights, a sub amp and a low draw light attached to the batt directly.<P>------------------<BR>93 MX-3

I was told by my stereo guy that you only need a capacitor if the amp is over 500W. It would be best if you did get one that you hooked it up to the amp for your sub(s). What the capacitor does is it stores power until the system actualy needs it. Since the subs only work on the beats it will give the cap time to charge back up. If you hooked it to the regular speakers it wouldn't have time to charge. I hope this makes since. I tried. Good luck, Robert.<BR>BTW- If you notice that your lights are dimming when the subs hit then you probably need a cap.
