how to get over on your credit card company

Post by monty73741 »

i trying to pay down my credit cards & am settleing on a property & getting a phat commission check

so i called my credit card company & found out that if i make a payment on the first of the month then on the fifth of the month the second payment will have 4 days of interest....b/c credit card companies asses interest by the day..& i want my priciple paid down....

so i came up with this idea.......i gonna make 2 payments over the phone
...
first is the minminal payment..then the second will go toward the principle

My CC only charge me for days when I borrow money from, but If I make purchases, it is by the month..

Hope it is not one of those company that charge you 30% and more of interest a year.. :|

Oh well

heres what you do.

1. make two stacks (one of credit applications other of coupons)
2. open cc app and place coupons in it along with 33 cents.
3, when you receive the call from the company politely ask them for your 33 cents back and then if they say no consistently ask for a manager.
4. watch as you receive no more apps from credit card companies ;)

if your credit card is charging interest you should open a new account and transfer your balance or get a special rate for opening a new account. my case with my new account was no interest for a year and free balance transfers. when the year is over if you have a balance, transfer the balance to a new account with no interest again. anyway i use my card on a regular basis cuz its easier for me to account for things and not spend cash if i have it on hand.

The 2nd worst thing you can do to your credit is continually open new accounts and transfer balances. Its as important to creditors that you have long term credit accounts as it is that you pay bills on time. Each time you do this in fact you risk losing 100+ points from your FICO score. It may be important to you to save on interest paid but creditors could care less what interest you pay. They care that you pay on time and you maintain accounts over an extended period of time.

yeah that is true, repeated charge off are bad, but one every six months is not bad.....

here is the deal the balance is about 6000 g's & my next credit car has 5000's i'm trying to make one payment a month on my credit cards....but the problem that i have is a credit card company doesnt amortize there interest...it is strait interest......but i getting a large settlement check from a property i'm settling on tuesday....& they told me even if i made that months payment i will have to pay interest...event though i already made a payment...so the 2 payment method on the same day will make sure the large payment goes 100% towards my balance reduction
