I'm not going to flame you, because you have your opinion and I have mine...

I am a die hard Red Sox fan. Always have been, Always will be. You may have gotten away this time, as you manage to do a lot, but the Red Sox were up on you, they gave you the scare of a lifetime, and I disagree with your statement that the yankees are greater than all.

If you look at the numbers, Pedro OWNED Roger Clemens, and Pedro Martinez will ALWAYS be better than ANY pitcher the Yankees will ever have. He is the best pitcher in MLB right now.

You got lucky. Wake's knuckle ball fell onto the bat of Aaron Boone. If the knuckleball stayed up, Boone would have missed it clear by a mile and the count would have been 0-1.

Aaron Boone hitting a walk-off was a dream come true for all of you. It WILL NEVER happen again, he is a horrendous player, and he was absolutely horrible throughout the entire series. Arguably THE worst Yankees player on the roster.

I don't want to hear about the curse (cuz it doesn't exist) I don't wanna hear anything negative about Pedro Martinez (the best pitcher in baseball) and I don't want to hear anything negative about The Boston Red Sox, because I have never been more proud to be a Sox fan than now.

My team showed a lot of poise out there, and a lot of courage. We almost had 2 in New York. It could have gone either way... and you know it.

That's why the NY Post ran a headline saying the Sox won, they didnt believe in their home team....

I just feel bad for Tim Wakefield, he said he felt like he let everyone down. I still love him. He is one of the most respectable and charitable men in the game of baseball, and he will always be one of my favorites of all time.

Pedro Martinez may be a good pitcher, but he is not a good person. he showed his true colors, when an old febile man came towards him instead of being a "better" person he pushed him face 1st into the ground. all i have to say is this, blaa blaa blaa yaaa yankees boo red soxs :2thumbsup: and yes roger clemmings is an old guy, but david wells gets a big thumbs up!!
my final word is everyone says this and everyone says that, but when it came down to it the yankees were the better team, because they won. the umpire was crap, callin plays slow. it seems everyone loves to hate on the yanks for many reason, but you cant deny what they do. they produce the plays and take advantage of other teams mistakes. thats what amkes them a good club

Don Zimmer is a shame to the Yankees organization, and he said it today, he hates the Yankees. He charged Pedro Martinez. What is Pedro supposed to do? Let Don Zimmer barrel into him and potentially mess up his arm. Pedro committed the lesser of two evils. It was either throw him to the ground, or punch him in the face. Zimmer was swinging at Pedro. I support him 100%

I never said I hated on the Yankees. I never said they were a bad team. They are a good team, only thanks to the fact that George Steinbrenner has depthless pockets, and his payroll with always be double any other team in the major leagues. It is really unfortunate because he is really having an effect on the game.

I don't understand the whole Yankee mentality. You are from Florida kid, root for the ****ing Marlins for gods sake. You aren't tough because you like the Yankees. You aren't 'street' because you wear a Yankee cap.

As for a David Wells thumbs up. All I can say is David Ortiz took him deep on the first pitch. It was horrible location by Wells, and a TERRIBLE pitch. It wasn't even close to where Posada set up on the plate. It was a horrendous curve which ended up curving to the outside at Ortiz's knees, which is just begging to be clobbered. And it was ;)

The Yankees may appear to be the better team. But were they really? They dropped 2 at home. That's bad. They may have a larger payroll, but the Red Sox will always have more heart. Bottom line: Yanks got lucky again

born and riased in NY, been goin to yankees games for YEARS. ive only lived in FL 5 years, and i dont like the marlins. and i know for a fact if the roles were swictched and a yankees player hit an old socks player, boston would be up in arms. everyone speaks down on the yankees and what they do. but fact of the matter is, they turn players into GOOD players. money doesnt affect skill, it just makes them work harder. and i quote

"Aaron Boone hitting a walk-off was a dream come true for all of you. It WILL NEVER happen again, he is a horrendous player, and he was absolutely horrible throughout the entire series. Arguably THE worst Yankees player on the roster."

if i remember right he was a mid season trade, and during clutch time he came through. you had ortiz, valtreck, and rodreguize and they didnt produce when it was important. people call the yankees ability to take advantage of other mistakes luck, but thats just good playing. because in the end, when its all said and done, the yankees won. and there is nothing that you could say or do to redeem the red socks. they had a chance, and they couldnt step up while the yankees did. :2thumbsup:

Ya both lucky. The A's would of spanked the Yankees, and should of beat the Redsox. Maybe in the future when they can come up with a budget that rivals teams like the Braves or the Yankees, they can buy the series like everyone else.

Ortiz hit 2 home runs in ALCS, Varitek hit 2, Manny Ramirez hit 2, Trot Nixon hit 3, Millar hit 1, and Walker hit 2. The Sox had THE best offense in the MLB this year. It was explosive, and it was unstoppable.

I quote you:
and i know for a fact if the roles were swictched and a yankees player hit an old socks player, boston would be up in arms.
Thats exactly what happened, a Yankees coach attacked a Boston player, and got his *** knocked over, so New Yorkers flip out cuz they got embarassed.

Again, I have never once in this post said the Yankees are a bad team. I admire Joe Torre, as he is the best coach in the major leagues. He is very in control of the game, and essentially the Yankees destiny.

I really think you ought to do some research before talking **** about the Red Sox offense though, cuz you are just so horribly wrong and it makes you look stupid...

Walker had 5 Home runs, Nixon had 4,Varitek had 4,Ramirez had 3, Damon had 1, Millar had 1, Ortiz had 2. It was just ridiculous.

The coaching staff lost the series for the Sox, not the players, and I will concede that the Yankees coaching staff is much better than that of the Red Sox. The players couldn't have been more evenly matched.

As for the A's, I'm sorry man but your boys choked. They never had the series, they just put it in our hands, and Zito and Hudson killed the teams chances by starting a barfight at Club Q down the street from me.

And your boy Wells sure isn't ragging on the Sox, unlike your hothead owner George Steinbrenner and Team President. I think David Wells may have been talking about stupid *** people like you when he said this quote:
"The Red Sox have nothing to hang their heads about. Not a thing. Look at what those guys did this year. They brought out the best in us, and everyone else. We brought out the best in them, and nobody will ever forget this game. If there's anyone up in Boston who has anything bad to say about that team, and if there's anyone down here in New York who has anything bad to say about that team...Well.... They don't know what the hell they are talking about."
Boston Herald, Howard Bryant. 10/18/03

I suggest you do some more research, and bring some numbers with you when you step up to the plate against the Red Sox.

like i said before, and ill say it again. we can nit pick through all the facts but in the end the yankees one. i think you said
"Ortiz hit 2 home runs in ALCS, Varitek hit 2, Manny Ramirez hit 2, Trot Nixon hit 3, Millar hit 1, and Walker hit 2. The Sox had THE best offense in the MLB this year. It was explosive, and it was unstoppable."

but who won the series?? was it the "unstoppable" offensive game playing by the sox?? NO it sure the hell wasn't, they had the same chance to score runs but they couldn't. we brough the heat when it was needed and we won. a true baseball fan would say "The Yankees were the better team and they won" without trying to add this and that. If the Sox would have won, i would say myslef, they were the better team. no if and or buts about it. but it seems everyone loves to hate the yank's regardless if they are on top of the world or down and out. and if you read the previous post i dont think i said anything bad about the red sos club, i said they lost and thats about it. and because someone likes the yank's doesnt mean they are tryin to be "ghetto fab" by rockin the hats and gear, you see my room, you know im a yanks fan. so why dont you go PARK a CAR in HARvARD YARD somewhere before you try to put someone down. in the end the yank's won and they are the ones going to the world series, and not the soxs. :D

Sucks thats you guys lost game 1.

I think maybe you should get on line to burn all your yankees apparell once they lose the World Series.

Oh and by the way, Scott Broeshus, an ex-Yankee said last night on the radio - WEEI 850 AM up here - that "The Yankees are the team that will always win baseball, but only because of their coach. Joe Torre is one of the smartest men alive. As for the world-wide fan-base, anyone who doesn't live in New York is just a bandwagon fan - they're along for the ride."

So sorry to burst your bubble, but you will be a Marlins fan when they win. Why dont you go hop on line for the bandwagon, it's going to crash soon.

You keep saying "we can nit pick we can nit pick" but Where are your GOD DAMN NUMBERS KID????

Thats right you don't have them, and your only defense that you are a Yankee fan is that "they're just the better team. If you don't know enough about your team to know some numbers, then you are just a bandwagon punk *** college boy

hmmm the ignorace is breaking through, i was wondering how long it would take after the soxs lost for you to blow your top. your team lost, and you upset. numbers won't change the fact that the red soxs lost. and i really dont understand how im on the bandwagon when i grew up in NY, goin to yankees games for 15 years whenever i got the chance, and ive only lived here for 4 years(FL), and i root for my team when they were down or when the were on top.
as my neice tough me "looser looser double loosr as if whatever, get the picture waterfal duh!" so i am goona go out and watch the yankees v marlins game 2, and enjoy the game. so maybe next year your soxs will get into the world serie, but they sure as hell didnt this year. anyone who reads this post will realize your a sore and bitter looser. and a coach doesnt make the entire team, its a group thing.

as for mx3chom, i played baseball when i was little for me i get pumped when i watch it cause i remember playin ball. but if i didnt i could see how it could be boring

Haha im a sore loser? Look at your post child, I think you need to mature in college and quit the clowning.

Sure i'm pissed that they lost, but I dont resort to childish word games and "na na na boo boo"

Good luck to your Yanks. Im serious. No bull****. I dont care who wins this series, and you do. So why spar?

The sox aren't losing anyone during this year. Ortiz will be resigned, as will Walker, and our Lights out reliever Mike Timlin. I have faith in the Sox every year.
