Ortiz hit 2 home runs in ALCS, Varitek hit 2, Manny
Ramirez hit 2, Trot Nixon hit 3, Millar hit 1, and Walker hit 2. The Sox had THE best offense in the MLB this year. It was explosive, and it was unstoppable.
I quote you:
and i know for a fact if the roles were swictched and a yankees player hit an old socks player, boston would be up in arms.
Thats exactly what happened, a Yankees coach attacked a Boston player, and got his *** knocked over, so New Yorkers flip out cuz they got embarassed.
Again, I have never once in this post said the Yankees are a bad team. I admire Joe Torre, as he is the best coach in the major leagues. He is very in control of the game, and essentially the Yankees destiny.
I really think you ought to do some research before talking **** about the Red Sox offense though, cuz you are just so horribly wrong and it makes you look stupid...
Walker had 5 Home runs, Nixon had 4,
Varitek had 4,
Ramirez had 3, Damon had 1, Millar had 1, Ortiz had 2. It was just ridiculous.
The coaching staff lost the series for the Sox, not the players, and I will concede that the Yankees coaching staff is much better than that of the Red Sox. The players couldn't have been more evenly matched.
As for the A's, I'm sorry man but your boys choked. They never had the series, they just put it in our hands, and Zito and Hudson killed the teams chances by starting a barfight at Club Q down the street from me.
And your boy Wells sure isn't ragging on the Sox, unlike your hothead owner George Steinbrenner and Team President. I think David Wells may have been talking about stupid *** people like you when he said this quote:
"The Red Sox have nothing to hang their heads about. Not a thing. Look at what those guys did this year. They brought out the best in us, and everyone else. We brought out the best in them, and nobody will ever forget this game. If there's anyone up in Boston who has anything bad to say about that team, and if there's anyone down here in New York who has anything bad to say about that team...Well.... They don't know what the hell they are talking about."
Boston Herald, Howard Bryant. 10/18/03
I suggest you do some more research, and bring some numbers with you when you step up to the plate against the Red Sox.
