I HATE insurance companys

Ive been waiting patiently for the insurance company to get back to me they said within 30 days that I sent out my quotation sheet. Well yesterday I recieved mail back from them all happy that my quote was back in! Yay I can finally get my car on the road.But.....It was not my quote they sent it back saying it wasn't all filled in, so I look it over at what they highlighted that wasn't filled in! And it shows up that History or Convictions, and My Driving record were the only ones!Well of course now im not gonna put anything there because I have no convictions and have a perfect driving record!!! MAN I WAS PI$$ED!!! I phoned them back and they said to put in big letters "NONE". I mean come on if it shows nothing there wouldn't you assume that means I dont have any! Now I have to wait another 30 days before I can get it on the road or until they get back to me! IM SO PI$$ED RIGHT NOW. How stupid can they be?

How come it is taking 30 days for them to get you a quote, I have never heard of such a thing.If I needed to I can get an actual quote with in the day.

Who are you trying to get a quote from? I had my car insured the day I called about the quote from BelAir Driect. They even e-mailed me a temporary proof of insurance thing (the pink paper) to use until they mailed me one.

its a new policy andrew, new companies found out of fake insurance brokers who have no license and they are implementing this new system to get rid of them. you have to fill up an application form which they will send in mail or fax. then you have to fill it up and send it back and they will send you the quote in 30 days. companies that use this new system are Toronto Dominion, Certas Direct, Royal bank, and some others i dont know of.
Best way is to go through an insurance broker, they will get you a quote in less than 5 minutes, and you will be insured the second you come out of the office.

Try this, I pay $256 a month and literally have to beg to get my monthly proof of insurance slip, what kind of crap is that?

This is with BelAir Direct! If only I could have had the car before January before all the insurance changes. Then it would have been same day but for now I have to wait its so $hitty! heh I like using "$" for s's it$ ju$t fun a$ hell!!!

Anybody have any other companys that give good insurance rates and have same day coverage? Bel Air Direct I had a 220 a month quote before they switched over, and that was the cheapest ive found thats only liability, no collision whatsoever. Anyone have any suggestions for any canadian insurance people. I phoned a broker today and the cheapest they found was 2800 for a 6 month policy now thats crap!

i have a pretty nice deal with Royalsun & Alliance,,,
165 a month,, full coverage

kuruption1983, it's important to mention that you're under your Aunts insurance!I pay just over C$450.00/month for insurance (that's with no collision). I don't have mommy/daddy/aunty/etc to bail me out. Oh yah, and when my insurance renews (December 2003)...I’ll be paying ~C$500.00/month for insurance.You guys don't even realize how easy you got it. Ouch man that sucks. Well I found a better place and car should be insured tomorrow and then I hope to have it on the road by saturday! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! Sorry Im just very happy now!!!I went to TD Canada Trust they gave me 234 a month just liability tho. If I had to wait for Bel Air Direct it would have been like 5 bucks cheaper anyway so I figured lets go this way. Plus they also have added coverage that Bel Air Direct didn't have so Im getting more for only 5 bucks more

So maybe pics of car soon!!!

well, the funny thing about this thing was, i called up the company a week after i got insurance and asked em how much it would be in case i wanna get it under my own name, they said 245 if you are 19 and have a G2, same price as your mother's (not aunt's) if you have a G, be 19 and have a clean record plus you have taken the lessons, also i got another course in Oakville, which is sorta of a driving in special conditions thing and that brought my price down to 185$ a month, and i insured the apartment that i live in for the next 3 months and that took it down to 165 CDN$ which is amazing,,,, i neva expected this much of a difference,,,,,

But this insurance was only for the blue mx3, since i parked my lexus in the garage, they have something called parking insurance which i got that, and that adds 30 more bucks to my current insurance,,,,

All this was because of a simple curiousity i had,,,,(not to mention the pain i went through to put the car back into my name and saftying and emissioning it again) LMAO

Heh funny thing now is this place is screwing me over too and are making me fill out the exact same thing and send it back even though when I applied online it said I would get coverage the next day because I gave them all the info even for automatic bank withdrawls. I know its not a fake one since it is with a Bank TD Canada Trust. But man this really heats me up. I wrote a long detailed email to them and If I dont get a reply by monday im phoning their hotline and complaining to them as well!Who Knew getting insurance could be so damn frustrating!!!!!!

Ok lets have a poll who here when they bought their car had to wait over a month to have it insured! And im not talking about not having the money to get it insured, Im talking waiting on the insurance company to get back to you with a quote so you can insure it! Ive been waiting since January 28th now and im still waiting! This buying a new car thing is turning out to be more of a hassle then a first experiance buying my first car!I said it once, and I'll say it again! I HATE INSURANCE COMPANYS!!!

i had the car insured 2 days prior to picking up the car @ the dealer, and that was the first time i bought a car, which was the black mx3,,
And when i bought my lexus, since it was the primary car to be insured, i got a quote 2 weeks prior to the purchase (cuz i thought I would pay some crazy money to insure that car), and when they gave me the quote i told them to keep the quote and i got my insurance 30 mins after i bought the car, and they faxed a temporary pink slip right to the dealership, and i had my car insured when i brought it outa the dealership,,,,
LMAO, that was one fun day of my life,,,
