changing shift knob, help!

Post by ant1path »

Okay. My car is automatic. I want to change my shift knob(stock). When I unscrew the 2 screws that his holding the knob.. There is this wire that is attached to the "hold" button. I don't want to pull it incase I might damage it. Anyone know how I can twist the knob out? or cut the wire?

thanks in advance.

that one wire has actually two wires inside it. with my mx (before i sold it) i put in a new ichibahn shift knob. i just cut the hold wire and then it will come right off. just make sure the two wires on the inside dont touch and everything is fine
