Idle clue!

Post by Ehpl »

My engine is completely, mechanicaly redone an then some but my point is that I remember the first time previous to redoing my engine, I experanced the up an down idle problem it started when colder weather hit last year. Now The first day we had cold weather sence I rebuilt my engine ( worked wicked all summer ) It happened again It has warmed up sence an the bouncing tach sindrome is gone . This leads me to think its in the mass air sensor It would be interesting to see if anyone who converted to map system ever experanced this idle problem.

run with a breater filter helps with a up&down ideal. uograde ur MAF to that of a RX-7 bigger in size helps out in topend. laters

Javier, does the RX-7 MAF really eliminate the up/down idle? If so what years are preferrable?

92-93 sohc u can use that mod but 94-96 dohc ur $h!t out of luck. Maybe the 89-92 RX-7 vaf might fit for the dohc models but unsure if the conecters are of correct size.

Try using a breater filter it sloves the up and down idle of the sohc there was a post on it a while back. Nice engine bay it goes where that rubber tube from the valve cover to ur intake arm. B.Filter on V.Cover rubber cap on intake arm. this could solve ur up and down idle of ur dohc. i must say nice work on ur 94 MX-3 laters
