differences in trannys

im searching and im confused as hell
is there a dif in the tranny from the 92-93 mx3 rs and the 94-up rs?

trany on dohc and sohc look the same but they seem to look different where they connect to the engine. i have both thats all i can say sorry if its doesn't help but i do belive trany on shoc or dohc are interchangeable.

Yes they are the same, also the same tranny as the 90+ 323, SOHC Protege, Kia Sephia and all 95+ Protege including 2.0 up to 2001. In late '96 the tranny was beefed up a little to handle the torque of the bigger engines which all benefited the MX-3. The 1.5L AZ-3 and Presso came with the "G" Tranny because of the high output of this engine.

Nope they are not the all the same. there is an F series which you find in our cars and the kia, ect. then there is the G series which you will find in like a PRO LX. which are stronger and have different gear ratios.
