INTAKE QUESTION

I have a 1.6 DOHC with a k&n cone filter and when i shut my car off it doesnt make the air noise like a Honda, is it not suppose too??

I don't really know what you're talking about... And if it is a noise your not hearing your worried about, I think you have your priorities backwards...Anyways, I don't have an "air noise" when I shut my engine off. I really wouldnt worry about the absense of a noise...its when noises start getting made that you should start worrying.

I think he means the sucking in air noise. After you turn off your engine air is still sucked in for about a second or two. Why you can't hear that noise i don't know. :dunno:

Sorry bud.. but its not a honda.. why should it act like one?

my bro mx6 makes that sound when he shuts the car off it sounds likes that like sssss and when he shifts u can here it breathe inward :shrug:

its because of the stock rubber intake piping. if you change it to a nice none restrictive aluminum piping then you will get the noise you are looking for. its because of the ribbs in the oem intake pipe, they restrict the air flow.

are there any intakes to buy for the 4cyl sohc to replace that plastic piping coming off of the tb into the maf and then the 2nd piece with filter to go down into well?

Your intake tubes have to be custom. NO one makes for the MX3 DOHC, if you run off of the SOHC you can try anywhere, found cheap ones on ebay.

there is a cold air intake system for the SOHC on ebay for like 60 bucks. and for the DHOC i used a one piece cold air for the acura integra
