i dont have the manual for the mx3 yet (on the way) so i dont have the torque specs for the valve cover and i can not find it anywhere using the search function. could someone please tell me the specs and the tightening order?Thank you very much. Its a 1992 sohc 1.6

I would asume that u tighten them up in a cris-cros pattern so that the valve cover gets tightened uniformly. About how much pressure u should put when titghtening.... i asume something in betwen 11 and 17 at least, that is how the spark plugs are suposed to be. Just don't overtighten anithing since u might damage gasket and in worst case the aluminum head.

I know this is a rare concept, but try calling the local Mazda dealer, ask for the service department & see if they'll look it up for you. I realize it's the easy way, but hey, beats the hell outta stripping the holes & having to get them heli-coiled.
