Um-- NO you dont connect it to anything. You need to take that hose off, and the box it is connected to down in the fender well.

It is only a resonator and will not do any good with your new intake.

Just pull it out ( I cant rememeber if there are any clips or screws holding it in...)

exactly.....
Theresa said "hose" not air resonator.
The resonator can be removed....but the vacuum hose must be reconnected.
Theresa do you mean hose or resonator????

On the 4 Cyl-- there is a air resonator that attaches to the intake box by way of this hose. The hose seems to disappear down behind the driver's side headlight, but attches to the resonator I am talking about.

If you replace your intake, and remove the airbox-- the hose has nothing to attach to. It is not a vacuum hose.

So-- if the hose you are speaking of was attached to the bottom/side of the OEM airbox and goes behind the drivers side headlight (Which I assume it does since you mentioned it in your 1st post) then it CANNOT attach to anything if you have removed your airbox & replaced it with a Aftermarket intake.

You can feel free to leave it there-- but do what everyone else does and remove it.

That hose is for the egr vent solenoid. If you want u can hook it up to your new intake or put a small filter on it and let it hang...It is up to you. Problem solved!!!

HAHAHHAA---The COUNT!!

LOL.

And, Jarid, I think you are wrong too, BTW.

On my 92 RS, the hose she is speaking of was literally NOTHING (besides the resonator, of course). it went from the airbox to the resonator and had no other plugs or anything to it. No solenoids or anything. Just a big, dumb, resonator.

your 1994 RS may have been differnt since they changed the engine that year. Just a thought.

Hahaha, count blah. :)

Perry, I believe the hose you are referring to is the hose that leads to a little resevoir for water or anything big to be drawn into. It is attached to another little plastic container from what I remember. I ripped mine out as it wouldn't have had any purpose with the drop in filter put in.

She's talking about intake before the airbox...Are you referring to the little hose that connects to the valve cover?
