i got a 93 mx3 with 1.6l sohc was looking a getting a turbo for it but found that it would only get me about a 15% gain.88- about 101 hp. i need info on what would be the best and cheap way to go.. not the cheapest but not that much to start out with. i live in san antonio tx and this is the first car i wanted to fix up.if any one can help

get a bp then if you still want a turbo get it

Either get a BPT or BP. If you want huge HP gains in a long time down the road, get the BP beacuse they are stronger to build off of. Dave L. showed us that. But if you want turbo right away, get the BPT, it is also a good strong engine as well. Check out my car domain site for some info.

what displacement is the BP..what car(s) and years is that engine available from and also wha is the hp/torque ratings on it..

You can get the BPT from CorkSport. You can prob get a the BP from them too but you will have to call. The BP specs marlon will have to tell you. I think the hp is rated at 132? Dont hold me to that though im not sure. Do a search, its been talked about quite a few times before.

The miata BP is rated at 130...<p>The one that swaps in is from a 91-94protege lx or similar car.. which is rated at 125.. and are avilazabzle from local junk yards

ford escort gt's have the BP motor too. 127HP 1991-1995

You will have to put some more thought into that. It really depends on the turbo and your setup.

will the protege lx rngine bolt right up or what would have to be done if i wanted to do it myself
