Quest to find a place that makes big brake kit for the D

Post by kuruption1983 »

supz all,
So i had some time today and finally decided to install the new brake pads in my front wheels. I installed them, but didnt see any difference in braking performance @ all. My pedal has to be pushed all the way in to get some pressure out of the brakes. So i was thinking if there was something like the Porsche's 911 series brake system. I have seen jon's car with the big brake kits from wilwood company, but i need some info on where i can get them and their price.

Precision Brake Company
Try bleeding your lines completely, you most likely have air in the lines.

First off they dont have any MX3 specific components listed on their site, so i believe it will take a phone call tommorow to find out, so i would like some information on which of their brake kits is the best one, with the best value for your dough. :D
And also i would like to know how i would be able to put the fluid back in the lines without letting air get trapped in the line, is there any special tool i can rent off CDNtire or similar stores.
more information would be appreciated.

ya i finally took my car into the shop to get the brakes looked at
seemed my caliper pins were seized beyond belief!!!
big brake kit is in the future for me too bro
u can prob use one from a dif car tho no?
whats so special about the mx-3 brake set up...
wont the miata, or 626, 323 probe etc have the same style brakes???
just a q that would make things alot easier!
peace
o and ps.. kaveh shops can usually bleed ur brakes for less then $50 in less than half an hour to do it yourself would be murder unless u had a friend wit u to pump the brakes...
cheers
[ September 03, 2003: Message edited by: Pearl-JapSpec ]

there is NO need to spend money on a big brake kit unless youre looking strictly at an appearance issue. The braking system on an mx-3 is more than enough to stop you at speeds the car is allowed to travel. I'd recommend correcting your current braking issues rather than investing in overkill

Kurption, take it to KVR preformance they'll set you up with a nice phat caliper or other then that a dual caliper and dual pads... they are amazing with brakes, their in ottawa.... they've got two cars there with dual calipers or just modified...
