I would say most likely not. Unless the clutch is brand new and you had horrible tires on while it was raining. Try it though and see what you can do.

If you bought a brand new clutch you should not be trying to chirp gears anyway. It is very easy to do but the clutch needs time to break in. Take it easy for a while on it.

I am running a BPT and I spun the tires straight thru first and second without trying. The BPT is faster then I thought it would be and I amvery happy with it. I would recommend it to anyone.

I just finished changing the clutch on my 92 rs with a little help. I've only had the car on the road for 5-6 months, so I'm re-learning how to drive it. It is a stock clutch replacement and will chirp a bit if I let it out the Slightest bit too fast.
Try taking it out on dirt where you won't wear the tires as much and get used to the new clutch. It's cheaper than new tires.
...BTW, I have pictures of the inside of the bellhousing and the bay with the flywheel out in the open.
I'm new, but I had a good mechanic helpin' me so it wasn't to bad. If anyone needs info on re'n're a rs clutch, I would be more than happy to email them.
