Dirty oil

Post by 94RS »

I change my oil every 3,000 kms, but find it to be dark black at every change. I'm assuming the black oil is a result of poor combustion resulting in an excess of carbon. Any suggestions on how to remedy this, plugs and wires maybe?

your oil WILL be black at every change, it gets black in EVERY car its just combustion process and all dirt that gets through ur filter and ends up in ur oil, also depends on ur oil filter how well its cleaning ur oil, dont put engine treatments like those slick 50's. from my own experience i have put a can of that S*** in my eclipse and since then engines oil pressure is way up. i think id have to rebuilt engine, it got so clogged with that stuff, its not made for japanese engines that have small passages and clog easily.
