I have a small leak coming from the manifold..???

My car is running great except its getting loud when I drive because of the manifold? It has a leak or a hole or something. I'm confused. Is that bad? Will that cost a lot to repair? If anyone knows stuff about that..please respond!

Take it to a local muffler shop & see what they say. Justabout all shops will pop it on a stand & eyball it for free. Small shops will cost less, but big shops will be more likely to have the parts on hand.<BR>Find out exactly whats wrong, then call around & see who'll fix it for less.

I took it to a muffler shop and they said the manifold is something you have to take to an "under the hood garage" *shrugs* I'm scared though. I hope it wont cost much

Take it to a different shop & tell them you have a funny noise & ask em to look at it first. Even if it is actualy the manifold, they may repair it, just depends on the shop. Could be as simple as a weld to fix, dont give up.
