UPDATE

For all of you who read the topic called "my car is leaking" this is what happened. I took the car to the shop, it stayed there over night. He said there was an axle boot that was torn. He said I never caused it. He said that for me to cause it I would actually have to go under the car and cut it with a knife. Anyways my baby is all fixed so im happy.

Thats good that it was fixed, you should try to find out how it got torn though.

He told me that he fixes theses things on the regular. He said its a common thing that happens.

i am not very mechanical, but what happens if you drive with your boot torn for a while and dont fix it?

Eventually, and that means a LONG time down the road, it'll sieze and your wheel will no longer turn....that is BAD.

I have noticed that normally the boot will get debris in it then it will wear out the CV joint. It will start making a clicking noise when you turn. It will take a while for it to get really bad. Then break.
